The Love That Binds
If we can't find love in the home, where can we find it elsewhere? I believe that the home is the place where people loving one another could be found. As a husband to my wife and a father to my four year old son, I experienced the value of sharing love for each other. Not that we love because the other member of the family is kind, sweet or gentle. We love even though sometimes we get hurt. Well, the real principle of love is to love the other person no matter how he responds to you. This means that no matter how bad the person, if you love him or her, you still respond to him/her with gentleness, calmness and kindness. The Key is love. If love is in your heart, you can love the way it should be.
In our home, we always say "I love you" each day: in the morning during the meal and, before we sleep. As a father I see to it that my loved ones always feel that I love them. I need to assure them that even though I am tough at times, I still love them. In the name of love, I have the responsibility to build them up emotionally, mentally and socially. I want them to face this world with courage and strength are established in love.
The reason this World we lived in has gone wrong obvious, genuine love is being set aside. The meaning of love becomes so erotic that the essence of it has long gone, forgotten. A love in its rightful substance builds up people, it does not destroy. Today, the love that almost all the younger generation embraced as emphasized by the media is an erotic kind of love. That love only wants to take advantage; it refuses to sacrificially give the rightful thing to benefit of the object.
May we will learn how to give a love that builds.
